DocuComix Episode 3 ***new project!
Maydays
HELLO, HELLO!
I’m interjecting a mushroom-themed project into my usual content of comics / book reviews / miscellaneous diagrams—perfect for fans of fungi a& analogue correspondence: details HERE ~
****note, project window open only until NOV 9, then closes so we can publish the amount ordered & send directly to buyers / collectors / letter writers IN TIME FOR HOLIDAZE ((nab extras, give as gifts?)
MAILABLE MUSHIES:
I’ve been noodling around with these Existentialist Mushroom Comics for the past 3 years, evolving slower than mycelial tendrils yet with no lapse in enthusiasm. While I haven’t been able to connect the dots of dialogue into sensible comic strips (YET), I leapt at the chance to turn scenes into postcards, with The Pound Project.

CHARACTERS STARRING INSIDE:
Of course I had to include Blue Oyster, (a favorite in my kitchen frying pan). Then there’s Nita & Nub—a sentient amanita with younger fungal fruit in tow. Of course Shaggy Ink Cap (whose ink you can really paint with). Elfcap, Blewit, Enoki—all such excellent botanical names—I didn’t need to add anything, except eyes, to have a cast of compelling characters.
We have Phyllis, a Chanterelle, and also Le Champignon, who only speaks French, to the exasperation of some (I’m trying to learn myself, so I’m practicing here).
Only available until November 9, more DETAILS HERE ~
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Next Sunday, at A Children’s Place, part of the Portland Book Fest Cover-to-Cover series, I’ll be co-hosting a workshop with my friend Leslie Barnard Booth, who wrote I AM WE: HOW CROWS STICK TOGETHER, I’ll be co hosting a workshop with tips from my DRAWING IS…. book.
Draw birds, learn about birds, hear excerpts from both books! Register HERE

GRAND FINALE, AS PER USUAL:
You made it to the finale. Enjoy this baby donkey ~

I love them. I’m inspired by your slow exploration and letting them evolve. I’m not very good at that. Thank you for sharing ❤️
